Kenton Wayne Smith was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1973, to parents of a middle class African American Family who were both employed by the federal government. Both sets of grandparents were local business owners in Atlanta and their business environment and mentality inspired Kenton's parents to seek opportunities in the business arena as well. They became successful owners of their own Network Marketing Business.

Kenton's mother left her mid-level job with the federal government to become a fulltime mother to Kenton and his older brother, as well as a business partner to Kenton's father, who continued his high level federal government position until he decided to get free and also go full time in his Network Marketing Business.

Kenton's family has always been actively involved in The Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta. This spiritual environment, which acknowledges the source of our strength, coupled with the business environment of daily family life and the role models he observed, firmly placed entrepreneurship and a desire for financial independence in his DNA.

He attended private and public schools in Atlanta and enrolled in Morehouse College in Atlanta. Entering the Atlanta job market simply fueled his keen passion for freedom and a desire to lead others on his path to financial freedom.

Coming from a family that experienced success in the business world enable him to see that identifying a dream and pursuing that dream gave life more meaning. He has actively developed his own Network Marketing Business and considers himself "A New Age Abolitionist" with a burning desire to help free other families from the bondages of what he calls "Payroll Control", which comes from jobs as a person's only source of income.

This talented and inspiring new author of "FREEDOM 101-The Wake-Up Call", sheds light on what the bondage of the job world can be compared to true freedom which can come from financial independence that can be derived from a successful Network Marketing Business.

Kenton is married to Lynita Smith and they are the proud parents of two daughters, Iyha Janai and Laila Yvette.
