Inspired by and comparable to Helen Baylor, and widely known Vicke Yohe, Carolyn Moore is a singer/songwriter in her own right who began her music career at the age of 9 years old in Church of God in Christ where her father was a pastor.
Soon after, she sang in the group The Annointed out of Little Rock, Arkansas. In the 1980's, she subsequently relocated to Knoxville, Tennessee where she recorded a 2-song demo that played regularly on the radio in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Daytona Beach, Florida.

Moore has shared the stage with well-known actor Jamie Foxx during a talent competition and performed locally in Nashville at the Grand Old Opry and many other cities and renowned venues. As a songwriter, her song "I Refuse To Be Defeated," was chosen as a Top 20 composition in the Babbie Mason Music Conference.

As the first female Gospel singer to perform at Nashville's Stardust Theatre, Moore's contemporary Urban Gospel sound is inflected with an R&B flavored voice to give her newest album, "Shadows of the Almighty," a new garment of praise, which repels and replaces the spirit of heaviness to all those who listen to her sing.

One of her songs, "I Refuse to Be Defeated" made it to the Top 20 in Babbie Mason's highly regarded Music Conference of 2001. Moore's anointing for Praise & Worship and her unique God-given ability enables her to usher in the presence of the Holy Spirit under an open heaven wherever she performs.

With outstanding lyrical integrity and compelling artistic expression, Moore's powerful voice creates an atmosphere of praise for the Glory of God to set His people free. When distressed be dressed with a garment of praise. The Hebrew root for garment (atam) shows praise as more than a piece of clothing thrown over our shoulders. Praise not only clothes our body in peace, joy, love and freedom; it pierces our spirit with the love of the Father and goes to the very throne room of God.
