Billy Lee Felder of New York has become the first Buy Black Movement Supporter in history to purchase 5,000 POINTS worth of products and services in the Buy Black Movement, which advanced him all the way LUMINARY Supporter Status. What makes his accomplishment even more amazing is that he achieved this stellar level in only 1 year and 11 months!

We spoke with Billy about his incredible achievement in the Buy Black Movement:
 

Brother Billy, contratulations on your incredible achievement of achieving Luminary status in the Buy Black Movement

Thank you. I'm happy that I can support the businesses that are a part of the Buy Black Movement. One day, I would love these businesses to be bigger than Costco or Wal-Mart. That's why I am so committed to this.

What inspired you to become a Supporter of the Buy Black Movement and buy Black products every month?

Learning the history of Marcus Garvey really inspired me. I never knew he did so much for our race. He was doing back then, what we are doing now.

Delxino and Debbie have really inspired me, too. They have done so much. They have gone through a lot, and they are still on top. They reached back to our people and said, 'we will teach you how to get where we are'.

Also, all the members, the Marketers, the Suppliers, the Supporters, have inspired me. It's teamwork. It's so great. I am so grateful to be a part of this.

You are setting an incredible example for other Brothers and Sisters.

This is something that I can do. Buying Black is something I can do.

It's uncomfortable when I see what's going on around me in the community. We have been in this limbo, while other races are moving past us. We've got to do our part.

Medgar Evars, MLK, Malcolm, Sister Harriet Tubman, all gave their lives in the movement to advance Black people. So, we've got the easy part.

We have a place in history with the Buy Black Movement. I am just happy I can be a member of this team and do my part.

I am so happy that Delxino and Debbie established this. One day, our children will see that they can do the same thing...

• they can be entrepreneurs
• they can be bigger than what they were told when they were in school
• they can do more than work for someone else

I love helping Black people achieve a higher dream that what is usually out there. I am glad I can do something to help.
